eDharma – Opening the Doors to the Dharma

We have chosen a thematic approach to study the teachings of the Buddha with each level consisting of a single theme beginning with Level 1: The 3 Jewels – Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha.

Over the course of these programs, you will receive recommended study materials that  include readings and practice suggestions, and sometimes specific additional topics such as visualization, mantra, and sacred art.

eDharma will consist of one email per week containing:

  • Dharma Lesson
  • Practice assignments for daily life

This class will require a minimum of 3 hours per week for practice and reading.

The price varies per level and is to be paid in advance. We accept payment by credit card, PayPal and bank transfer. If you create a practice group, all members are required to sign up as it will enable each person to communicate directly with eDharma staff at Dharma Publishing. Please join us in our worldwide eDharma study and practice group.

When a Dharma student is doing well, every moment becomes an opportunity for celebration and deepening appreciation.

Studying the Dharma means falling in love with the Dharma – making the teachings a part of oneself and manifesting with ever greater intensity the qualities of enlightened knowledge.

2 The Wheel of Life The Tibetan “Wheel of Life” (Sanskrit: Bhavachakra, Tibetan: srid-pa’i’khor-lo, literally “wheel of becoming”) is one of the best-known representations of the extent of human suffering. It demonstrates how suffering arises, how it is maintained, and how it comes to an end. In this series of 10 classes we will explore the many rich teachings described in this image. $69 None None En
3 The Paramitas When the Buddha was asked how to practice the path of enlightenment in daily life, he answered that the essence of that practice should be a paramita. The word paramita refers to a practice that helps us to traverse from the world of suffering to enlightenment-mind; it means, “gone over to the other shore.”

The vehicle of the paramitas focuses mind and body-the two inner resources that are the foundation of human development-on attitudes and actions that lead us from the banks of emotionality and negativity to the shores of enlightenment. The active power of the paramitas awakens full intelligence and positive, infinite feelings. If we wholeheartedly practice at least one paramita, karma and emotionality are transformed into goodness.
